Two Choppers Join Fleet
High-end, VIP, honeymoon markets demand increase
Joyce Aviation Group (Fiji) PTE Limited added two helicopters to their current fleet. Group chief executive officer and managing director Tim Joyce said with a combined fleet of 14 aircraft, the Joyce Aviation (Fiji) Group was well-positioned to offer the ultimate aviation support.
He said the decision came about as there was a need to support their services ranging from helicopter and airplane charters throughout Fiji, international corporate jet facilitation, medical evacuation facilitation, search and
rescue, aerial filming and photography, pilot training, Government and non-government organisation (NGO) disaster relief works, tandem skydiving, guest services, and more. “With the new addition to the fleet, the group has now elevated its service, particularly for the high-end, VIP, and honeymoon markets,” Mr Joyce said.
The new helicopters
The new helicopters include Twin Engine Squirrel AirBus Helicopters France with Rolls Royce engine (AS355 DQ-MED) five-seater, twin turbine Air conditioned with leather interior Rolls Royce M-250C20F twin turbine.
Also a Robinson 44 CLIPPER II DQ-MED 4-seater helicopter (including the pilot) Lycoming IO-540, six-cylinder, fuel injected.
It is air conditioned with a leather interior exceptional performance and reliability.
“Renowned for its low operation and maintenance costs, this helicopter benefits from the reliability and safety of its two Rolls Royce twin turbine engines and is equipped with a full authority digital engine control (FADEC) system,” Mr Joyce said.
The aircraft can also be configured for aeromedical services for patient transfer from remote maritime areas, and outer islands to hospitals and medical support. The Joyce Aviation Group has been instrumental in the formation of the Life Flight Fiji Trust. “The machine is assembled by our team of local aircraft engineers, something we are very proud of,” Mr Joyce said
He said both helicopters were substantial investments and were expected to fly this month once cleared from Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF).
