During his recent visit to the school, President Ratu Wiliame emphasised the school’s vision and encouraged the students to work hard and study diligently, carrying on the legacy established by these accomplished leaders.
He urged them to take pride in their school, highlighting its founding purpose of preserving the cultural identity of the iTaukei community.

Meet with President
For 12-year-old Adonai Rawaqa, meeting the President was an exhilarating moment.
She, along with students from various schools, had the opportunity to explore the vibrant displays of traditional Fijian arts and activities at the RSMS ground.
The event was held in honour of the distinguished Fijian chief and statesman, Ratu Sir Josefa Lalabalavu Vanayaliyali Sukuna.
Supported by the Fiji Arts Council, skilled artisans were invited to showcase their crafts.
Artists Josua Toganivalu and Anare Somumu, for instance, created a captivating mural of Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna through their sketches and paintings.
The day’s festivities not only offered students a chance to appreciate the intricate craftsmanship on display but also allowed them to pay tribute to a man who has left an indelible mark on Fijian history.
It was a moment of celebration and learning, where the students honoured the legacy of Ratu Sukuna while immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Fiji.
