TENNIS TOURNEY GETS $15,000

The Tattslotto Fiji Open 2023 tennis tournament which starts today at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club, has been boosted with a $15,000 sponsorshi­p. Tennis Fiji vice president Yash Patel said the sponsorshi­p was timely.

The handover was held at the Paradiso Restaurant, Suva yesterday.

“The tournament attracts the best players from Fiji as well as across the Pacific region including Australia and New Zealand,” Patel said.

The tournament will feature 41 events across six different categories including Open grade, A grade, social, veterans and juniors.

“The Tattslotto Fiji open is also an important event in the leadup for the Pacific open junior championsh­ips in July this year at Lautoka,” he said.

The Tattslotto Fiji Open 2023 tennis competitio­n is good exposure for the national team in their preparatio­n for the 2023 Pacific games in the Solomon Islands.

“We are extremely grateful for the ongoing support and sponsorshi­p from Tattslotto Fiji which makes this event possible every year.”

TF is grateful to Sports World, Jacks of Fiji, Cardo’s Steakhouse and Cocktail Bar, Sheraton Fiji, General Machinery Motors, P Meghji, SPR, Pleass Beverage, Momo’s Tavern and Vivid Media for their continual support. “Tennis Fiji is looking forward to hosting this event from May 31 to June 4,” he said.

Tattslotto senior manager, Lusiana Tamarisi said the sponsorshi­p deal with TF was a way that the company gave back to the community.

“Fiji Tattslotto has been a major sponsor for this event since 2014. We have witnessed how successful the events are organized by Tennis Fiji in the past and for that we are delightful to continue with our sponsorshi­p,” she said.

The winner of the Tattslotto Fiji Open 2023 tennis competitio­n wins $500.
