28 Agents Join Elite Clubs
Twenty-eight of Life Insurance Corporation of India’s (LICI) top performing agents were felicitated in the annual “Club Convention” at Warwick Resort recently.
The top performers were rewarded based on certain well-defined parameters, according to LICI’s system of “Club Membership” for its advisors.
To become a member of any of the three clubs – Chairman’s Club, Managing Director’s Club and General Manager’s Club – LICI seeks someone who presents a consistency of business.
The 28 agents who qualified for the membership of these clubs for last year, were hosted at Warwick Resort with overnight stay.
LICI Fiji operations general manager Pradeep Shenoy said from this year, the conditions of entry into the clubs, as well as the benefits available to the club members, were being modified.
Enhanced benefits would be available to the club members in the form of
■ office allowance,
■ computer allowance,
■ reimbursement of telephone expenses and
■ interest free advance for purchase of vehicle.
A new fourth club – Regional Manager’s Club – is being added to enable more agents to join. Mr Shenoy spoke about the need for spreading financial literacy amongst the general population of Fiji whose spending priorities are “skewed’ according to the recently published results of the “household income and expenditure survey” conducted by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics.
He also discussed the importance of savings for a “rainy day” and the huge interest cost being incurred by borrowers.
He called upon the agents to contribute their mite in this direction.
