Skipper has Become Competitive: Naitokani

- JOSUA BUREDUA

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua centre Michael Naitokani believes the Skipper Cup has become more competitive when compared to previous years.

Veitokani was released from the Drua to play for Nadroga in the Skipper Cup last Saturday to gain game time. He is again named in this weekend’s starting line-up. Naitokani said the focus is the clash against defending Skipper Cup champions Suva at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, this afternoon.

“We look forward to the challenge,” he said.

Similar sentiment was echoed by bustling Nadroga No.8 Jioji Kunavula who said they have worked on their mistakes and is ready for

Suva.

Nadroga co-coach Aca Ratuva said although they had a slow start but it is their ability to execute their game plan which enabled them to win.

“We’re expecting a tough tussle because Suva is not a new team. They know what to expect as they have a good set of players.” Nadroga co-coach Sireli Bobo highlighted that they are on a mission to hoist the Skipper Cup and the INKK Mobile FarebrotherSullivan Trophy at the end of the season.

Bobo who recently got his World Rugby Level 3 coaching said they are working hard towards the goals they have set.
