The Moonlight Dance

Will you dance the delicate dance Of the shimmering silver moonlight A dance of tiny fairy steps Scattering star-glow in the night? Will you dance the moon dance With me - in the silvery light?

Will you hold me close And take me on that windy flight Of purple skies and twinkling stars Dancing in the moonlight?

But time will fly and the moon will fade As soon as the break of day And like the moon, with its silver dance I will someday fade away.

Time will pass as you sit to watch The moon on a lonely night Will you remember the dance you danced With me -- In the silvery light. © Ronita Prasad
