Sex accused bailed

A 32-YEAR-OLD man charged with two counts of rape of his 16-year-old niece was released on bail by the High Court in Suva yesterday.

It is alleged that the accused raped the complainant between March 2018 and December 2018 in Nasinu.

Justice Riyaz Hamza ordered the accused to comply with his bail conditions and not to interfere with the complainant and State witnesses.

Justice Hamza advised the accused if he violated any of his bail conditions, the court would revoke his bail. The case has been adjourned to September 3.
