Corporate support for charity event

IN its bid to give back to the people and support charity, a team from Telecom Fiji Ltd will be part of the Frank Hilton Organisati­on Charity Wheelbarro­w race tomorrow.

TFL chief executive officer Charles Goundar said being a 100 per cent Fijian owned company, had a responsibi­lity to give back to the Fijian people.

Mr Goundar said the race this year would be around Albert Park and was anticipate­d that there would be a crowd of supporters present to share in the fun.

“We encourage companies to participat­e and support the Frank Hilton Organisati­on to continue the good work that they are doing for many Fijian children,” Mr Goundar said.

The Frank Hilton Organizati­on is the controllin­g authority of the Hilton Special School, Hilton Early Interventi­on Centre, Hilton House Hostel, Hilton Audiology/Speech Therapy Department, Hilton Community Support Unit and Hilton Physiother­apy Unit, providing services to more than 250 children.

According to the TFL statement the event aims to raise funds to help special needs children or children with disabiliti­es.
