Warriors after Fa’asuamaleaui

-

THE Warriors are reportedly prepared to make a major play for a one-game rookie as they continue to look to beef up their forward pack.

Despite only playing 27 minutes of first grade, Melbourne Storm teen Tino Fa’asuamaleaui is in hot demand and the Warriors appear to be leading the charge for his services.

Fox Sports have reported that the Auckland club intends on tabling the 1.97m forward a three-year offer worth $1.5 million when he hits the market at the end of the season.

Fa’asuamaleaui is on contract with the Storm until the end of 2020, although rival clubs are free present offers from November 1.

Fox Sports claim the Warriors are set to have plenty of competition with the 19-year-old seen as the next boom forward to come out of the Storm, which has produced the likes of Kiwis enforcers Jesse Bromwich and Nelson AsofaSolomona and Kangaroos prop Jordan McLean.
