THE Motibhai Group Suva office in Walu Bay hosted its own morning tea event on Wednesday, June 19 under the Bushells Fiji's Biggest Morning Tea (BFBMT) initiative which the company executes every year since 2006 as part of its major philanthropic exercise in partnership with the Fiji Cancer Society to raise funds for cancer awareness, advocacy and patient care.

Now into its thirteenth year, the BFBMT continues to be the biggest and longest running fundraising event for the Fiji Cancer Society and is held from June to September annually.

During this period, various business houses and NGOs from across the country work closely with the Fiji Cancer Society to host their own morning tea events and funds raised is directed towards the society by the hosting organisations.

As charity begins at home, the Suva office tea event last month turned out to be great success with about a hundred guests attending the function and giving generously towards a worthy and noble cause.

Fiji Cancer Society CEO Belinda Chan thanked Motibhai Group for their continued support in the battle against cancer.

"The event hosted by Motibhai Group was very impressive as we saw many new faces and this goes to show the support for the battle against cancer is growing," Ms Chan said.

"We take this opportunity to invite more organisations to host their morning tea events between now and September."
