Resort of the year award for property

WYNDHAM Resort Denarau Island achieved an average occupancy rate of 97.51 per cent over the past financial year and has been named the Resort of the Year at the annual Australian Timeshare and Holiday Ownership Council (ATHOC) Awards held on the Gold Coast, Australia on Tuesday night.

In a statement yesterday Resort Operations vice-president Warren Cullum said it was the team on the ground that made Wyndham Denarau Island one of the most loved among their club owners thanks to the ingrained culture of customer obsession that was demonstrat­ed on a day to day basis.

“The team goes above and beyond to ensure all guests enjoy a fun-filled, memorable stay, and this well-deserved accolade is testament to this dedication to customer service,” he said.

He said the annual ATHOC awards were a prestigiou­s industry accolade that recognised and rewarded exceptiona­lly talented individual­s, teams and companies in the vacation ownership industry across the South Pacific.

The resort was recently named Fiji's Best Deluxe Accommodat­ion at the 2019 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards and was also inducted to the TripAdviso­r Certificat­e of Excellence Hall of Fame this year.

The statement said the multiaward winning Wyndham Denarau Island was one of the largest and most popular resorts in Club Wyndham South Pacific, the region's largest timeshare club with close to 60,000 members and 51 resorts across Asia Pacific and Europe.

The Beach Shack café and bar, a mobile coffee cart, swim-up pool bars, an oversized lagoonstyl­e swimming pool and adult's only pool.
