Case to be called on November 29
PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s legal action against former lawyer Aman Ravindra-Singh will be called on November 29.
This, after a default judgment was issued yesterday by the High Court in Suva because Mr Ravindra-Singh failed to file his application on time.
Parvesh Sharma appeared on behalf of the plaintiffs through instructions from R Patel Lawyers.
He said they were finalising the matter and would file supporting affidavits of the damages sought.
The court was informed that Mr Ravindra-Singh had sought a stay on the default judgment and has been given time to file the relevant application.
The legal action is linked to an article that appeared last year on Mr Ravindra-Singh’s Facebook page — titled “Regime Dirty Politics”.
