Beggars and street kids

I BELIEVE Lautoka has one of the highest number of beggars and street kids.

Last year some beggars were removed but they all are back on the same street.

They beg, eat, sleep and urinate on the same street.

Some of them are recipients of social welfare benefits but still live on the streets.

Can some of these physically fit men and women be given a job by some businesses so they can become self supported again?

It’s sad to see them sleeping at the bus station and on the streets.
