Too late for regrets

IT is really much too late for regrets, if any, as far as both our super weightlifters, Cikamatana and Tulo, are concerned.

They have, understandably moved on to Australia and Vanuatu, respectively.

We must wish them well in their weightlifting dreams in their newer greener pastures.

There was the time and opportunity to engage professional sporting mentoring services required to resolve pertinent issues, with utmost respect. It is obvious, for whatever reasons, a solution was not reached. Did we honestly try hard enough? That’s the million dollar question.

Looking back, if we were not a part of an amicable solution, then we must be contributors to a festering problem.

No other budding athlete should ever be subjected to such treatment resulting in our nation’s sad and needless loss of great athletes.
