PACIFIC islanders also have a moral obligation to act on climate and ocean change, says UN Special Envoy for the Ocean Peter Thomson. He stressed this during the Pacific Ocean Alliance meeting in Suva yesterday, and said this obligation must be kept in order to keep the faith with the Pacific generations whose lives were stretching out ahead. “Stewardship is a hollow concept if we fail them,” he said.
