Radradra scores a record at RWC

FLYING Fijians prolific winger Semi Radradra has made Rugby World Cup history by being the first player to be involved in five tries in a RWC game.

Putting on a man of the match performanc­e, Radradra ran 178 metres with three line-breaks .

He set up three tries and scored two during the Flying Fijians’ 45-10 rout of Georgia in their third game of Pool D at Hanazono Rugby Stadium in Osaka on Thursday.

“Semi was world class,” said head coach John McKee.

“He showed the quality he brings to the game. His three try assists has also equalled the most by a Flying Fijian player.”

McKee praised the effort of the Flying Fijians securing a win in an important game and showing the Fijian style of rugby.

“I am very pleased by the performanc­e from the Flying Fijians.

“Good to see us showing some of our flair and our talents at this world cup.”

Fiji will face Wales which leads pool D next Wednesday at the Oita Stadium on Kyushu Island in Japan.
