One hour soccer

I STRONGLY urge Fiji Football Association to revert to one hour matches in tournament such as IDC.

One hour matches are more suited in tournaments. Fans don’t get bored. There’s more excitement.

We reverted to 90 minutes because we thought we will train our boys for international success. Before IDC would finish in two days.

Now these tournaments take two or three weekends, like the last BOG. Fans lose interest. Finally the ticket price to these tournaments should be drastically reduced. Adults $5 flat. Under 12 years — $2.

You will still make money as more people will come to watch, after all it will be a bazaar atmosphere.

Let’s not think about international success, make it a fun weekend for people. After all we will never make it to the world cup. AJAY SINGH Natabua, Lautoka
