Saulo blindsided by hilarious ‘falcon’ at Rugby World Cup

-

FIJI finally unleashed their trademark flair at the Rugby World Cup with a big win over Georgia, but prop Manasa Saulo was left with a moment he would much rather forget.

Midway through the second-half, Saulo was on the receiving end of a classic ‘falcon’ as a pass from halfback Frank Lomani caught him flush in the side of head.

The tighthead prop didn’t see it coming and probably expected better from his halfback. But to be fair, he was standing right in between the ruck and the first-five, and eventually saw the funny side as he packed down for a scrum.

Fiji ran in seven tries to one in the 45-10 victory on Thursday, their first of the tournament after losing to Australia followed by a shock defeat to Uruguay.

They play their final pool match against Wales next Wednesday.
