Corporation maps 2020 strategies
FIJI Public Trustee Corporation Ltd
(FPTCL) mapped out its 2020 strategies at its recent corporate planning workshop in Suva.
According to FPTCL chief executive officer Atonio Takala, the oneday workshop looked at the organisation’s present operations and where it wanted to be in 2020 and how to get there.
“We looked at where we wanted to focus our resources and specific targets.
“Our team focused on fulfilling that goal through their departmental inputs,” he said.
“We looked at our target markets, our business processes and turnaround time, our leadership and teamwork. All these make up how best we want FPTCL to work towards being efficient and effective when providing our services.”
Some priority areas for the organisation include:
■ Expanding estate planning and administration services;
■ Operational efficiency through digitisation and IT enhancements;
■ Efficiency and effectiveness in terms of customer service
■ Benchmarking against other trust services;
■ Increasing awareness and outreach; and
■ Business growth and commercial viability.
Mr Takala said the FPTCL had been around for more than 30 years and was Fiji's largest willmaking service provider.
“We are passionate about helping many families and businesses look after what is important to them.
“Our business focuses on executing meaningful solutions and products to clients through our customer experience.
“We take time to discuss with our clients on the best way to pass on their personal and business assets, whether during their lifetime or at the time of their death.”
