$16m development
PLANTATION Island Resort has opened its $16 million development that features a new arrivals bure, restaurant, pool, bar and 40 new ocean view hotel rooms.
The new development was officially opened on September 1 when guests were offered a new arrival experience in a new facility that boasts views of the Malolo Lailai Bay.
According to the resort, it’s new Tavola Restaurant and Bar features a gourmet menu from renowned local executive chef Mo Arun who offers traditional Fijian cuisines with an Asian twist and a number cultural dishes from across the Pacific.
The 40 new ocean view hotel rooms also offer a different experience for guests.
Small families and couples get a hotel-style room option that offers a unique experience than staying in the resort’s numerous stand-alone bures.
Raffe Hotels and Resorts CEO Bradley Robinson said they were happy with the first stage of the resort wide development.
“The architecture is quite striking and the build quality is excellent,” he said.
“We can now offer our guests a seamless and more comfortable arrival experience as well as a fabulous beachside dining option.
“The new hotel rooms have been an instant hit with the first guests to stay in them, adding a great quality and very comfortable option to our more traditional bure style accommodation.
“The project has completely transformed this part of the resort and has set the scene for many more exciting changes and improvements that lay ahead for Plantation.”
