Driver in custody

THE 21-year-old driver who was behind the wheel of a car that allegedly hit a 41-year-old police officer in Nadi this week was taken into police custody. The driver is alleged to have been driving the vehicle along Namaka when he allegedly struck Jesoni Naisoro at a traffic light killing him instantly. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the suspect remained in police custody as investigations continued.
