MSAF: Court action needed

THE Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) says only a court can now resolve the standoff between Goundar Shipping Services and Patterson Brothers Shipping Ltd at Ellington Wharf in Rakiraki.

Acting CEO Captain Philip Hill said the ownership of the boat ramp is in dispute. “And as such, legal process is required to resolve the issue in due course,” he said.

Capt Hill said MSAF would not be part of the legal process.

“Communication with all parties are ongoing to resolve the dispute.”

Capt Hill said a legal process will ascertain the ownership of the ramp.
