Second edition for film festival
THE embassies of Spain and Cuba partnered with Alliance Française to organise a second edition of the Iberoamerican Film Festival of Fiji at the University of the South Pacific last week.
The film festival showed movies from Spain, Cuba, El Salvador, Mexico and Venezuela.
USP vice-chancellor Professor Pal Ahluwalia said the university was keen to welcome cultural displays from all around the globe.
He said he was glad the first edition of the film festival took place at USP.
Spanish acting ambassador Daniel Montilla said the festival aimed to bring together different cultures and showcase the diversity of Iberoamerican countries.
