McKee wants to stay
THE coach has decided to stay back. We appreciate your hard work. There are many critics because things didn’t turn out the way they expected. Disappointments can be understood.
Nothing changes the fact you have done the hard work with the players who tried their best as well, as usual. Everyone is not Ben Ryan. We miss him but change is inevitable.
It is easy for some to easily make comments as such that the coach must leave. These same people would have been talking otherwise if the results were green. I think you should get a chance. Fiji’s win is expected the most by the coach and not getting good results upsets them the most as well. We can understand that.
We wish things get better in the future. No use crying over spilt milk.
I guess it’s easier for some to sit in their comfort zone and disregard others’ effort. We wish the coach all the best. There is plenty to learn and it’s never too late.

Rugby evolution
FOR the sake of player safety, the game of rugby union could witness an evolution.
Players wearing helmets (similar to American Football), bulletproof neck braces and cotton wool based hand and shoulder paddings.
No touching will be allowed on the field. You people! With reference to the area above the shoulders.
Official attire of those controlling matches, red T-shirts and yellow shorts. They will not carry cards. Attire will be shown for indiscretions.
For the taller players, greener pastures in volleyball, high jump, long jump, triple jump and basketball. I’d throw three sticks in the mix as well. Concussed? MOHAMMED IMRAZ JANIF Natabua, Lautoka
Upsets and glory
CONGRATULATIONS to Japan and Uruguay for creating upsets in their matches against Fiji and Ireland.
Could we be in for another round of upsets in the quarter final matches this weekend as the top eight team face the acid test?
All eyes will be out on Japan as they look promising but face the mighty Springboks which have more Rugby World Cup experience.
Meanwhile, I am hoping for an upset against the All Blacks to spice up the competition among top contenders for glory in the Land of the Rising Sun. FLOYD ROBINSON Toorak, Suva
