TOURIST operators Rosie Travel Group has launched a new travel guide and booking service that comes with a digital platform that allows visitors to make bookings before travelling to Fiji.

Aptly named Discover Fiji In-Destination Services, Discover Fiji Travel Guide and its digital marketplace DISCOVERFIJI.COM, the new service offers travellers a peek into what they could expect when holidaying in Fiji.

According to the company, Discover Fiji Travel Guide was a collaborative effort with Media Metro and Front Page which produced a personal guidebook designed to improve the arrival experience.

The DiscoverFiji.com website and the DiscoverFiji mobile application offers a digital concierge booking service for each subscribed traveller.

Tourism Fiji CEO Matthew Stockel said the new features were a fantastic tool that international visitors could use to research and book recommended activities.

“Importantly, the tool will assist visitors to research the destination before arriving and also when they are travelling around Fiji,” he said.

“This convenience of booking through a device or app is offered in other destinations, and it’s fantastic that Discover Fiji is also providing this option for visitors in Fiji to book through this channel.

“Tourism Fiji commends the partnership of the Rosie Travel Group, Fiji Airports, Media Metro, and Front Page for the initiative to create the Discover Fiji In-Destination Services.

“We look forward to hearing more about Rosie Travel Group’s innovation in developing technology that will enhance the visitor experience in Fiji by connecting visitors to all there is to see and do in the place where happiness finds you.”

Fiji Airports Air Traffic Management and Operations general manager Isei Tudreu said the launch of this platform could give all of Fiji’s visitors the ability to make their trip seamless.

“This platform will customise their travel experience and even makes it authentic,” he said.

“It is a pleasure to be in partnership with Rosie because ultimately we want the visitor numbers to Fiji to grow.”

Rosie Travel Group managing director Tony Whitton said they were looking forward to seeing the responses from travelers to Fiji.

“So our new journey with Discover Fiji is simply an extension of why we started Rosie Tours with the same vision for excellence in meeting the expectations of today’s traveller who is more educated, more sophisticated, well-travelled, informed, savvy, pricesensitive and more demanding,” he said.
