PNG poised for growth

PORT MORESBY - Papua New Guinea has all the ingredients to make the creative economy grow, says World Intellectual Property Organisation legal officer Paolo Lanteri.

Mr Lanteri was speaking at the Intellectual Property Office’s copyright seminar in Port Moresby.

He said currently there is a growing awareness of contribution to the economies from the creative industries.

“A study has shown that creative industries accounts for 5.2 per cent of GDP in some of the developing and developed countries in the world,” said Mr Lanteri.
