Triple treat for Aussies in rugby

AUSTRALIA had a triple treat last week as they claimed both the men’s and women’s titles in the 2019 Oceania Rugby Sevens Championsh­ips at the ANZ Stadium.

The Australian men’s 7s team also secured a spot at the 2020 Olympics beating Samoa in the qualifier final. The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team also booked their spot to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo beating Papua New Guinea.

Meanwhile, the organisers hosted the visiting teams to a reception at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last week.
