Product receives overwhelming response
GUESTS at resort properties across the country are raving about SOURCE – the state-of-the-art machine which produces water out of thin air.
SOURCE is sold and distributed exclusively in Fiji by Greenco. Managing director and CEO Mollie Fong said he has been overwhelmed with the kind of response he has received ever since the product was launched a few years ago.
“People were a bit sceptical at first until they saw the machine for themselves and tasted their first glass of chilled, fresh, water,” he said.
“There are so many pluses with SOURCE Nature Based water — it is solar powered, it does not require extravagant maintenance procedures, it has mobile phone applications where you can monitor the water usage and quality and the water that is produced is of a very high quality.
“Some of the country’s premier resort properties have already taken units, including Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Kokomo and many others.
“Our latest customer is Marriott Fiji Momi Bay Resort which already had one unit and has taken delivery of its second, with another on order after that.”
Mr Fong said another positive aspect of SOURCE was the reduction in use of plastic bottles.
“Guests at resorts and business owners like the idea that they don't have to buy water and add to our carbon footprint, they can use their own water bottles and just keep refilling to their heart’s content.”
Marriott Fiji director of Engineering Muni Pillay said the response he has received from guests has been nothing short of positive.
“So far we have received positive feedback from guests and associates hence we are looking into expanding this project in the resort,” he said.
“We just got another unit installed, it’s an additional unit added to the gym water dispenser.
“We are planning to install a third unit next month around the swimming pool area.
“The main advantage is that it's a renewable water solution, this unit is powered by solar and is an independent system not requiring any utility input.
“This equipment produces water from the air around us, condensed inside a tank and absorbed into special minerals thus it’s mineralised pure water.”
