Supercuts to open at Damodar City’s newest complex

-

SUPERCUTS, the popular barber shop chain has set its sights on opening its very first outlet in Vanua Levu, at Damodar City Labasa.

Supercuts was born out of the entrepreneurial ambition of Faizal Hussain. He grew up in Seaqaqa and Labasa in Vanua Levu and moved to Suva when he was just 17 years old.

He established his first Supercuts barber shop on Mead Rd, Nabua and has since opened five other shops in Suva, which includes a Supercuts and Supercuts Premium at Damodar City Suva.

Mr Hussain will be opening an outlet in Nadi early next year. Now he has come fullcircle to open his seventh outlet back in his hometown, at Damodar City Labasa in 2020.

“When Damodar City Labasa launched its plans, I jumped at the opportunity to open my shop in Labasa with them. I am from Vanua Levu and I want to give something back to my home,” says Mr Hussain.

The standard of Supercuts at Damodar City Labasa will be second to none and will lift the service offerings of the traditional barber shops, says Mr Hussain.

“I want the customers in Labasa to feel the difference, to experience what a professional barber shop should be. My aim is to bring the very best and to give customers in Vanua Levu the best service.”

Damodar Group chief executive officer Div Damodar says: “Supercuts is one of many tenants that opened with us when we built Damodar City Suva.

“We have seen his business flourish and have seen that he continues to set the benchmark higher and higher in men’s hairdressing and hair care.

“We are pleased that a loyal tenant and partner in our brand is moving to the North with us. We look forward to Supercuts making waves in the Northern market.”

Supercuts Damodar City Labasa will offer employment to local barbers. Mr Hussain is determined to train local talent to Supercuts standards. Damodar City Labasa Phase 1 is earmarked to open by mid 2020.
