Chandra wins title
A play-off was used to decide the winner of the 2019 Ambient Edge Pte Ltd-sponsored official season closing 18 holes stroke event at the Lautoka Golf Club course last weekend.
Asish Chand and Rohit Chandra had posted a par round 69, only to be separated after a three holes play-off whereby Chandra emerged victorious to claim the overall gross title.
Home course favourite, Senitiki Cakau convincingly won the overall nett title on a 60.
Manwal Kumar nailed the Agrade nett title on 65, followed by Tevita Drauniniu on 66 and Chandar Shekar on 68.
Daven Mudaliar took out the B-grade title on 66 on a countback from Bharat Ram while Papi Singh was placed third on 67.
Daniel Kumar was the toast of the C-grade on 66, Alen Qiokata second on 67 and new comer Adeel Khan third on 69.
Roneel Prakash maintained his fine form to round off the season on 66 to easily account for the Professional category.
Alex Qiokata was declared the best junior golfer of 2019.
The NTP prize on the second hole was won by Vikash Chand and Anil Kumar on the 9th hole.
Shiro Mani hit the longest drive on the third hole .
LGC president Chong Lee thanked the sponsor Atil Prakash of Ambient Edge Pte Ltd for the fantastic sponsored prizes to close out the 2019 season.
