Mazoudier beats Ser in Suva boxing event

KOEN "Malacious Mazoudier proved to0 strong for Vanuatu's Roy "Tsunami" Ser stopping him in the fifth round to be crowned the Pro Box Pacific Superwelte­rweight champion at the FMF Gymnasium, Suva over the weekend.

The orthodox slugger proved to strong for his smaller opponent unleashing a barrage of blows in the fifth round that forced referee Justin Kennedy to stop the fight after the onslaught found no reply from Ser.

"I said earlier that I was in Fiji for business," Mazoudier said.

"All respect to Ser, he is a superb fighter, it was a strong contest but there is only one winner at the end of the day."

A disappoint­ed Ser thanked the crowd in his native tongue and the large Vanuatu contingent that attended the fight.
