THREE days into investigations and police have yet to arrest a suspect for the murder of 13-year-old Jia Janvi in Labasa. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the crime team were still gathering information at this stage. “It’s the normal process of investigation and we have not arrested anyone yet,” she said. The Year 9 student of Labasa College was allegedly stabbed to death on Wednesday night while hanging her uniform outside her flat in Namara. Her mum, Rohini Lal has pleaded with police to find the suspect who allegedly carried out the monstrous act on her daughter. Ms Lal, a single mother, was at work when the alleged attack took place. She said no child deserved to be treated as such as they were innocent.
