Suva v’ball to resume
THE Suva Volleyball Association has scheduled to resume its tentative season in October.
“Before our season runs from September to April to coincide with the Easter Holidays, but with due to the effects of COVID-19 and the stoppage in sports we have reviewed our season to run from October to June,” said president Kemueli Naiqama.
Also on the table for SVA is the training of all affiliates in regards to the Child Protection Policy.
“We have an influx of youths and also children in our communities and we plan to reach a stage where we will initiate age grade categories in our competitions.
“In arming our affiliates we want to run awareness and training workshops to enable our players to be aware of child protection policies such as seeking approval from parents and guardians and so forth.”
Naiqama said all representative officials from clubs within the association will be trained to safeguard that the policies are met.
