Krishna to help Fijians

- By NOA BIUDOLE

FIJI football golden boy Roy Krishna is looking to securing possible pathways for aspiring young footballers in Fiji in going overseas to further their football knowledge.

“I’ll be looking for some players and maybe when I go back to India I can tell them that there are some kids here in Fiji looking for an opportunity to go overseas,” Krishna said.

Krishna challenged young players of the International Football Youth Academy to strive at being the best at what they do during the launch of the one day IYFA Futsal competition at the National Hockey Centre in Suva yesterday.

Speaking to a host of aspiring footballers, Krishna highlighted how lucky children were now days with the availability of courses and institutions to develop their skills

“I was not very fortunate to join an academy during my days, so you guys are very lucky” Krishna said.

“You guys are in an Academy so listen well to what your coaches say because it will help you.”

Krishna commended the efforts of IYFA director Riyaz Ali and the management on the good work and effort they do in providing a platform for future Fiji footballers, and provided sound advice on how to be a professional footballer to his young fan base.
