Captain dies

A BOAT captain died yesterday morning after he was allegedly crushed by a pipe in Nadi.

The incident happened at a private marina where the man had accompanied a digger operator to move the floating pipe.

It was alleged the pipe fell on the man and instantly killed him.

Police were at the scene yesterday to carry out an investigation.

Questions sent to Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro yesterday remained unanswered when this edition went to press.
