Sharks promise to maul Coastline Roos

- By NOA BIUDOLE

POLICE Sharks rugby league team manager Pauliasi Colamoto said the lawmen would not be stopped from hoisting the Fiji National Rugby League 2020 Vodafone Cup this weekend.

“All the hard work this season has come down to this, and be assured, we won’t let it pass easily,” Colamoto said.

After beating the Saru Dragons team in a hard-fought 26-18 win last week, Colamoto said their players had ironed out all weak links in the team ahead of their showdown with the Coastal Roos in Suva on Saturday.

“The Roos have defied all odds and shown that they are no pushover. We respect them as we have all other teams in this year’s Vodafone Cup tournament.”

With the grand final in the Sharks back yard in the Capital City, Colamoto said all talking would be done during the grand final on Saturtday.

“Any team is capable on game day. All we can do is to prepare well and be hopeful that the players deliver.

“We are confident of a good result this weekend.”

With a strong contingent including key players such as Filipo Talei, Maikeli Peters, Sevanaia Galala and Joeli Dulaki, the Sharks are expected to maul the Roos of Sigatoka in what is expected as a grand final full of fireworks and intensity.

The FNRL 2020 Vodafone Cup grand final will be held on Saturday at Albert Park, Suva.

Kick-off at 3.50pm.
