- By ROHIT DEO

THE Online I.T Solutions Ba football team and Foodcity/ ASH Cuts & Styles Rewa side played to a 1-all draw at the Vodafone Fiji FACT second match of day two at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.

Abbu Zaid got the ‘Men in Black’ into the lead in the 19th minute with Darold Kakasi getting the assist. Ba led 1-nil at halftime.

Rewa applied pressure in the second spell as Ba went into defensive mode and the Delta Tigers were rewarded with a goal to Anish Khem.

Khem capitilised on a cross from Tevita Waranivalu to get a much deserved one point from the match.

Rewa coach Marika Rodu was pleased with the win and said the focus would now turn to the next match.

“It was a tough match,” Rodu said.

“Considering the ground conditions, we tried to play safe and we kept on pressing in the second spell knowing that we will score if we have Ba on the backfoot which we did.”

Ba coach Ronil Kumar said they were unlucky to lose the lead.

“The boys went defensive and Rewa is a good team and they took advantage,” he said.

“I think both teams deserved the point they got and we will surely have a hitout against hosts Labasa tomorrow (today).” Rewa plays Prasad Maintenance Works Nasinu at 2pm today while Ba will battle hosts Galaxy Hotel & Apartments/ Powerwise Electrical (NZ) Labasa at 6pm.
