Fiji FACT 2020

I BELIEVE any person with a little bit of common sense would have shifted the Fiji FACT elsewhere after seeing the condition of Subrail Park in the first place.

But I believe this did not happen and the tournament carried on with no regard for the safety of the players.

All of a sudden when the tournament was nearly completed Fiji FA decided to stop the games because of the very bad condition of the ground at Subrail Park.

As I had started writing this letter, I got the confirmation that Fiji FA had not changed the venue.

The semi-finals and final would not be shifted but would still be played at Subrail Park.

I only hope the weekend’s weather pattern in Labasa was checked properly before they made the announcement. According to the Nadi weather office, rain is predicted all over Fiji at the weekend. Anyways, I hope there is no further abandonment because of muddy ground. SURESH CHAND
