Kids program records massive turnout, officials happy
THE Punjas grassroots program was conducted at Subrail Park in Labasa.
Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said the massive turnout recorded was a positive sign for football development in the Northern Division.
“I would like to thank the parents and guardians for taking out time and bringing their kids to this grassroots program and it was very delightful to see a huge turnout.
“They (kids) were not only from Labasa, but many came from Seaqaqa, Dreketi, Bua and a few from Savusavu as well.
“These kids who attended the program have been granted two days of free access to the Vodafone Fiji FACT here in Labasa.
“I would like to thank Punjas for showing great interest in supporting our grassrotts development,” said Patel.
The president confirmed more development programs will be organised in other parts of Vanua Levu and also at the new academy which is nearly completed.
“We have been running development programs across in the Northern Division and the turnout has indicated that we will be running extra sessions in the other parts of Vanua Levu.”
More than 200 children attended the program in Labasa
