- By FELIX CHAUDHARY

A SECOND delivery of relief supplies flown in on a Royal Australian Air Force C-17 aircraft landed at Nadi International Airport yesterday.

The aircraft brought in more than 640 shelter kits, more than 280 hygiene kits, medical supplies, chainsaws and parts, solar streetlights and lighting supplies.

Supplies from UKAID, Red Cross, UNICEF and Care were also delivered.

“Australia is committed to backing the Fijian Government’s quick response by ensuring additional relief supplies are available,” said Australian High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes.

“The Fijian Government, NDMO and local support services are doing a phenomenal job co-ordinating the distribution of supplies to impacted communities.

“Thoughts of many Australians are with their Fijian vuvale at this time.

“Like the many challenges we’ve faced this year, we will overcome TC Yasa together.”
