CHARMANS Gym celebrated a great end to a tough year over the weekend and is optimistic of more great things to come.

After a year marred by COVID-19, veteran bodybuilder Jale Colata said they had ended the year on a high note winning four medals at the 2020 Mr Fiji competition.

“As one of the smaller gyms, we put a small team to the contest and did not come back empty handed,” Colata said.

“It shows the resolve within our team and I know it speaks volumes of many more great things to come.”

Colata took gold in the masters category with Solomon islander Bryan Ilitoona taking gold in the under 75kg grade. Onisivoro Koroi also took gold in the under 85kg with young gun Ariva Waqa a silver medal finish in the young men’s physique.

“We strive on day by day despite the face of stronger competition, but it’s a healthy competition.

“We are glad to finish this year and look forward to brighter days ahead.”
