Immunity section

-

IS everyone the same under the law? If so, why then do we have the differentiating clauses under the immunity sections of the Constitution? Why even have an immunity section?

I believe Chapter 10 of the Constitution was crafted to protect coup perpetrators.

Chapter 11 Section 159 (2) (a) extends this protection into perpetuity. I pose this question to the legal eagles out there: is this perpetuity clause even constitutional given that a foundational principle of democracy is justice and where the right to petition their government for redress of grievances is a cornerstone of that principle?

Please educate Fiji if there is a case here for a constitutional challenge. MAREKO VULI
