Elected council

I FULLY support Tessa Mackenzie’s views (FT 13/11) that more benefits would be realised for ratepayers in municipalities if city and town councillors were elected back and make them accountable to their voters rather than the current bunch of administrators who I believe value their appointments more and will carry out government’s will faithfully.

At the same time I praise Allen Lockington’s style (FT 13/11) when he feinted with a left, praising the proposed development in Ratu Sukuna Park before zeroing in with a straight right on his main target, the stagnant state of the development on Shirley Park in Lautoka.
