Market vendor, 60, tells of poor sales in 2020

ASENA Colatibale travels from Narata, Sigatoka, to Suva every week to sell her produce at the Suva Municipal Market.

The 60-year-old says the year 2020 was one filled with hardships.

“I have been a market vendor for more than 20 years and sales have never been as bad as it has been in 2020,” she said.

“Throughout Christmas we did not take a break and continued selling our produce but did not rake in as much as I previously made.

“On top of slow sales this year, we only have a short time to prepare children for school before the school year starts again.”
