Women help women
MEMBERS of the Solesolevaki Wellness Women’s Enterprise were awarded certificates in recognition of their efforts to self efficiency through micro businesses.
The iTaukei women from Nadi and Lautoka began a fund to enable and sustain their small businesses which had been supported by donors from the United States of America and Taiwan.
The group’s first fundraising effort was held at the Tanoa International Hotel in Nadi earlier this month.
Founders of the Solesolevaki Wellness Women’s Enterprise, Mere Tui, Mereseini Baleilevuka, Ua Kaisau and Titilia Vuataki believed it was important for women to rise and support their families.
“We have worked together as ladies to create a fund to help sustain each of our businesses and families, as well as reach out to our own communities and extend a helping hand,” Mrs Vuataki said.
Vitivou Global USA was the major sponsor for the night’s event.
Company representative Mereoni Vesikula congratulated the women on their accomplishments.
“The Solesolevaki Wellness Women’s Enterprise is geared to establishing branches all over Fiji and their long-term vision is to establish a first ever women’s bank in Fiji.
“We acknowledge their vision and we fully endorse it,” she said.
