FIJI’S leading beverages manufacturer, Paradise Beverages, joins ‘ Wearing Fiji.’ – A Fashion Project’, as sponsors of their up-and-coming designer mentoring program.

Wearing Fiji co-founder, Samson Lee, said that the program is the first of its kind in the industry and they’re proud to partner with Paradise Beverages.

“We will be focusing on mentoring our up and coming designers, utilising expertise from participating designers and mentors and sharing this knowledge with each budding designer cohort,” said Lee.

“Having sponsors such as Paradise Beverages enables us to be able to progress the work we’re doing with our up-and-coming designers. Without this kind of support, we might not be able to have the expertise or reach required to progress this work.”

Wearing Fiji co-founder, Neisau Tuidraki said having an iconic brand partner such as

Paradise Beverages enables them to elevate Wearing Fiji to another level.

“It’s an honour to have Paradise Beverages as a major sponsor of our mentorship program, this is not only recognition of their belief in the work we’re doing in the fashion industry, but it also helps us to continue to help us to create spaces and exchange fashion knowledge through our mentoring program,” says Tuidraki.

Paradise Beverages general manager, Mike Spencer, said they were really impressed with the team at Wearing Fiji and the development opportunities afforded to students.

“This mentoring program offers up-andcoming designers an opportunity to learn from established designers. This can help create a higher performing fashion industry in Fiji, and we’re proud to support this potential,” Mr Spencer said.

“Fashion Shows are also a great platform for designers, both emerging and established, to showcase their talent around Fiji and further afield.

“We’ve always supported Fijian Made and have always had a strong focus on supporting and developing up-and-coming local talent whether that be in sport, music, arts or fashion and will continue to do so.”

This is the beginning of a new partnership that will help benefit the up-and-coming designers and the first fashion show is expected to hit the catwalks on Saturday, May 1.
