Police brutality

-

WHEN I first heard it reported in the mainstream news that the 20-year-old black man, Daunte Wright, was shot dead “by accident” by a veteran white female police officer, I did not accept that as gospel truth.

I knew there was more to it.

Then later, I heard the civil rights lawyer Ben Crumb, who represents both George Floyd’s and Daunte Wright’s mothers, say Daunte’s shooting can’t be explained away as an accident.

He said when black people are pulled up by white police officers, they direct the most forceful tactics against them betraying a bias against black people.

He contended this pattern of police behaviour was systemic.

This made a whole lot more sense to me in light of police brutality against blacks/ coloured in America.

Now, we hear the police officer responsible for Daunte’s death is being charged. That too makes a lot more sense. RAJEND NAIDU

Sydney, Australia strategy. That must be it.

It’s where you are able to sell the machine (printer) at a very low price, where only a loss is possible and then make up for it in the sales of the accessory (its ink). That sounds logical but why go in a roundabout way when you can do it more directly. Sega sara ga ni macala!

What’s even more frustrating and kinda annoying, is this. When one of the four or so colours runs out in the colour cartridge, the software tells you that you need to replace the whole cartridge.

The machine then becomes inoperable until you do so.

Mind you, this is the case even though there is still ink available in the remaining three colour slots.

The same goes for the black ink cartridge. If that runs out, the printer will also stop working despite having coloured ink left in the colour cartridge.

Just as frustrating, is that these machines are usually one-timers and were not meant to have spare parts for them.

And so, the cycle continues for new purchases. That must be the game plan.

That really calls for one tamani big isa! EDWARD BLAKELOCK
