Happy new year

HAPPY new year to all.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday.

The rain took its toll no doubt and crashed many plans. Lautoka Town on Christmas Day was quiet.

Not a wise decision to live it open obviously as many already had plans and prayers in place.

Condolences to Professor Brij Lal’s family. May he rest in peace. It would not have harmed our Government to attend the memorial service organised by the NFP.

A very good gesture I would say. Thank you Mr Biman Prasad for that wonderful thought.

The thought of the vice-chancellor of USP kept coming to mind.

After hearing about the passing away of Prof Brij Lal who never had the chance to come back to his beloved country and what happened to Mr and Mrs Pal Ahluwalia, just makes me wonder if our Government has a stone heart.

Do they even have a heart?

We are here either writing or talking about such issues but what about those who actually had to endure this pain and suffering?

Finally, a few days back, I felt the floor of my house was a bit shaky when I came to know that Jan Nissar from Australia was in Fiji. Unfortunately his place of staying was near my house.

Well, I ended up meeting him though elsewhere.

We both had our stands made clear except for very little things that we both agreed on, however, I will say it is always good to feel “comfortable to be able to agree to disagree” with each other.

By the way Jan, you talk very loud and thanks for sharing with me the meaning of some words every now and then which I already knew but I understand the reason for the exaggeration.

Road to Tunuloa

PLACES in Vanua Levu like Tunuloa, should not be suffering like this anymore. (FT 1/1)

It just makes one’s head sore, knowing that a road has yet to reach their door.

We all hope that places in our country like this, are very much on FRA ‘s current “to do list”.

Roads make travelling and transportation easier, bringing rural and urban communities much closer.

It will really be nice that from this year

- 2022, a road will be linking Tunuloa to other places too.

New variant

WITH the new IHU variant identified in France, no one knows when this pandemic will end, and likely, we will not be able to eliminate the virus but instead adapt to it. Fortunately, I am accustomed to adapting. Adapting to the different qualities of grog. WISE MUAVONO
