QUICK VIEWS
Freedom
I BELIEVE the ever hotly debated issue of freedom of expression and disinformation is going to gain momentum in the days ahead.

Joke of the week
YOUR news article on the bottom of Page 7 of FT (03/06) is the joke of the week.
I am sure it has potential to be the joke of the month and even more!
A debt bomb, rising poverty levels, unaffordable housing market in main urban areas, election handouts, and yet the PM claims his Government manages the economy better! BIMAL PRASAD Newtown Rd, Wailoaloa, Nadi
Same problem
‘PM: My Government manages economy better’ (FT 3/6).
That’s what Australian PM Scott Morrison also claimed, but the Australian voters kicked his government out!
The Morrison government had a serious credibility deficit problem.
We will know if the Bainimarama Government had the same problem when Fijians go to vote in the coming election. RAJEND NAIDU

Bus shelter
THE bus shelter at the CWM Hospital adjacent to the maternity ward was dismantled a few months ago.
The other day I saw concrete being finally poured as the base of the bus shelter.
I suppose it will take another two to three weeks, at least, before the bus shelter proper is erected.
Why can’t they have pre-fabricated bus shelters ready for installation in such cases? VIJAY P MADHAVAN Borron Rd, Suva
Can’t do much
DR Biman’s comments “Rabuka can take Fiji forward” saddens me because it means NFP on its own can’t do much. SUKHA SINGH

Statistics
WE see reports that there are 1200 deaths from smoking each year in Fiji.
I believe this is an underestimation.
I wonder if they will do a report of how many grog dopeys die each year from their addiction.
But I guess they do not keep such statistics.

Long wait
THE kids were looking forward to it.
It was a long wait, but unfortunately another debacle. Coke Games in July?
No triple N? Really? Come on honourable minister! Give the kids a break and time to prepare well.
They deserve it.
