Naitasiri names strong line-up

- By FILIPE MARAYAWA

FAREBROTHER Trophy holders Naitasiri has named a formidable side to take on Nadi in a double-header match at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 3pm today.

The Highlanders have warded off the challenges of Namosi, Nadroga, Suva, Rewa and Northland, but are yet to face Nadi and Tailevu.

The squad is mixed with young and experienced campaigners who are aware of how dangerous the Nadi team can be if left in open space.

Asiveli Rokoua, Jone Naqiri and Inoke Ravuiwasa make up the front row while Esika Macu and Sitiveni Kaila partner at locks. Former NRC Fijian Drua player Jone Navori pairs with Maciu Vakacabeqoli at flanker with captain Sireli Kaloucava anchoring the scrum at No.8.

Halfback Anasa Naqiri will pair flyhalf Kini Douglas to unleash the deadly combinations of Peni Tubuna at inside centre and inform outside centre Filimoni Waqainabete. Vili Kanatabua and Kaliova Mocetadra make up the wings while Etonia Rokotuisawa will call the shots from fullback.

Naitasiri team: 1-23 Asiveli Rokoua, Jone Naqiri, Inoke Ravuiwasa, Esika Macu, Sitiveni Kaila, Jone Navori, Maciu Vakacabeqoli, Sireli Kaloucava, Anasa Naqiri, Kini Douglas, Vili Knatabua, Peni Tubuna, Filimoni Waqainabete, Kaliova Mocetadra, Etonia Rokotuisawa, Jone Vatukela, Waisea Daveta, Joeli Veitayaki, Inoke Tuisese, Tomasi Naiduki, Simi Drotini, Vatili Vosawale, Uraia Torau.
